Courses are usually held in groups of 4 learners which allows time for 1:1 tuition where required and candidates often partner up to learn the skills in preparation for assessment. All courses are City & Guilds Accredited and can be delivered at our fully accredited training centre or at a site to suit your requirements.

Tree Climbing & Rescue, Aerial Cutting of Trees
Anyone wanting to become an arborist and holding necessary pre-requisites (chainsaw maintenance, cross cutting & felling up to 380mm). This is a combined course running over a 6 day training period with a 1 day assessment to follow the training.

Supporting Colleagues Off Ground
This course is about supporting colleagues undertaking treework operations. It includes the safe preparation and maintenance of work sites, supporting and assisting colleagues working off ground, the manual treatment and disposal of arisings. This standard is for people who are on the ground supporting their colleagues who are working off the ground. (chainsaw maintenance & cross cutting).

Use of a Chainsaw From a MEWP
This course is ideally suited to the professional chainsaw user working in forestry and arboriculture. Level 3 Award in Use of a Chainsaw From a MEWP

These qualifications do not require any pre-requisite qualifications with the exception of the aerial cutting of trees qualifications where the learner must hold the chainsaw maintenance, cross-cutting and felling, (City & Guilds Ground Based Operator).
Tree Climbing courses do require a good level of fitness as they can be very physically demanding while learning. As always these courses are delivered by experienced instructors.
