Who is the course designed for?

Anyone wanting to become an arborist and holding necessary pre-requisites (chainsaw maintenance, cross cutting & felling up to 380mm). Please be aware that to take this course, you must be physically fit and not suffering from vertigo or similar conditions. You must also be free from medication that could affect your safety.

The course provides the knowledge and skills required for learners to be assessed for: Level 2 Award in Tree Climbing & Rescue & Level 3 Award in Aerial Cutting of Trees.

Course Objectives:

To enable course members to:

  • Climb trees
  • Carry out aerial rescue
  • Use of a chainsaw from a rope & harness


Be able to carry out aerial cutting of trees with a chainsaw using free fall techniques

Duration: 7 Days Training + 1 Day Assessment

Cost: £1309 (including VAT)

Pass rates: We achieve 92% pass rates on Tree Climbing and 95% on Chainsaw from a Rope & Harness courses.
