City & Guilds Land Based Services provide a wide range of land based qualifications. Their portfolio has a strong focus on short courses and as an accredited Assessment Centre we are able to offer independent assessments and in some cases integrated training and assessment courses. It is City & Guilds aim to "promote competence and professionalism in the workforce of land-based and related industries by the encouragement of continuous learning and the recognition of skill."
Lantra Awards is a nationally recognised Awarding Body approved to develop and accredit qualifications. Lantra specialises in qualifications and training for people in the land-based and environmental sectors and also offer provisions for the voluntary and construction sectors. Some of Lantra qualifications are short courses such as Woodchipper, Brushcutter, 4 x 4 and Tree Survey. We decided to work towards the ISO accreditations in order to introduce Management Systems that will save time and cost, improve efficiency and ultimately improve customer relationships. Not only have implemented the administrative and procedural systems which ensure we run efficiently in house we are so proud to have achieved the ISO 14001 which ensures we remain environmentally efficient; and we have also achieved the OHSAS 18001 standard (may also be mistakenly referred to as ISO 18001) which is internationally accepted as a method of assessing and auditing occupational health and safety management systems. It is of ultimate importance that the business runs smoothly and supports the health and safety for all who work with TKF.
