This course is a must for all those employed in Utility Arboriculture in preparation for the NPTC City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Utility Arboriculture – Unit 2.1, 2.2 & 2.3The training is physical in nature. Participants must have a good level of general fitness and stamina. Medical conditions must be reported to the course tutor prior to commencement.
Course Overview
This 2 day practical course will ensure candidates can identify common species of trees and their growth characteristics. They will identify hazard trees and branches and prune from the ground safely in proximity to a overhead power line using correct tools and methods. The option to prunes branches in the same manner is optional for candidates completing the NPTC City & Guilds UA2.3
Duration: 2 Days – Practical, 1½ Day – Assessment
