UA 1 – Basic Electrical Knowledge
This course is a must for all those employed in Utility Arboriculture and who have a requirement for safe working in close proximity to overhead conductors which may be live up to and including 400kV. A current first aid certificate, which includes treatment for shock, is strongly recommended and may be a requirement of some electricity companies.
Course Overview
This 2 day practical course will ensure candidates understand the basic principles of working safely in proximity to overhead and underground utility services. They will identify correct electrical equipment, electrically categorise trees, identify zones and understand their responsibilities on site.
Duration: 2 Days – Practical, 1½ Day – Assessment
