Pedestrian & Ride on Mowers Combined
Anyone using a pedestrian or ride-on mower as part of their work. This would include novice and experienced operators who require their skills updating, with certification.
Course Overview
Successful candidates will be able to identify the risks associated with the use of Pedestrian/Ride-on Mowers and select appropriate Personal Protective Equipment. They will identify and understand the function of all instruments & controls and carry out daily checks as indicated in the operators’ manual. Pre-start checks are carried out and they will gain the ability to identify and report any faults and adjust the cutting mechanism to achieve the required standard. All candidates will operate the machine in a safe and competent manner and perform after-use maintenance. On completion of the course they will have an understanding of the requirements for travelling on the public road and be able to load and transport the machine (if appropriate)
Duration: Suggest 1 or 2 days depending on experience and equipment used.
Extra time (i.e. 1 more day) will be needed where cylinder or mixed machines and or none drivers or complete novices are involved.
