PA1 – Safe use of Pesticides
This course is a must for all those employed in the amenity horticulture sector who are involved in the storage, handling and application of pesticides. Course members should be able to read. A code of practice specifies the knowledge and skills required of a competent operator.
Course Overview
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Develop knowledge covering the requirements of current legislation and use pesticides appropriately and safely, and keep proper records. They will understand how to store pesticides correctly and how to clean equipment, and dispose of unwanted pesticides and containers. Candidates cover procedures for dealing with contamination and poisoning incidents.

Duration: 1 Day – Practical, 70 minute – Assessment
NB: A two day course is recommended for trainees of little or no experience

You can complete this as a combined PA1 & PA6A course over 2 days plus 3 hours of assessment !!
