CS 41 – Undertake Sectional Felling (Dismantling)

This course is for arborists who hold the pre-requisite NPTC City & Guilds units CS30/31, 38 & 39.

Course Overview

Successful candidates will be able to identify, inspect and comment upon key parts of the equipment to be used. They will prepare the equipment for use ensuring the safety of themselves, other people and the environment. Candidates will be asked to comment upon the structure, condition and properties of the tree(s) to be worked upon. As part of the practical assessment candidates will use a chainsaw and other pruning tools whilst maintaining a working position within the crown of a tree using a rope and harness in conjunction with ground staff and operate a chainsaw whilst maintaining a working position within the crown of a tree using a rope and harness. Use lowering ropes and other associated equipment to carry out lowering and sectional felling operations and undertake a range of Arboricultural operations without risk to themselves, other people or the environment.

Duration:    5 Days – Practical, 1 Day – Assessment.

Costs including VAT and Registrations: £710.30 per person.

This course can also be completed as a refresher for those who need to maintain their qualification. Cost including VAT and Registration £219.00
