CS 32 – Fell and process Trees over 380mm in Diameter
This course also includes the Takedown of Hung Trees Using a Winch
This course is for people who are required to operate chainsaws to fell trees larger than the guide bar length and who have attended the basic chainsaw courses in this series, or their equivalent, and/or have the appropriate certification (units CS30 and CS31).
Course Overview
This practical course will enable candidates to correctly state the regulations and safety requirements relating to chainsaw use and assess the hazards and risks involved. By implementing appropriate techniques and using the correct aids to take down trees and de-limb. The timber is cut to correct lengths and safely stacked. While maintaining the correct stance and covering all health and safety requirements and using correct aids, trees over 380mm in diameter are felled and taken down using a winch.
