CS 30 – Occasional User Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross Cutting

This course is for anyone who is required to operate chain saws for cross cutting only and prepare the candidates to take an assessment for NPTC Core Units CS 30.1 & 30.2

Course Overview

This 2 day practical course will enable candidates to successfully identify the necessary protective clothing required, and locate the various standards marks.
Aspects of Health and Safety surrounding Chainsaw operation, maintenance and performance are covered. The candidate will clearly understand the corrective action to take should a problem arise such as removing a trapped saw from the log. All start procedures and pre-start checks are identified along with ensuring the correct stance/grip is applied during use.

Duration:    2 Days – Practical, ½ Day – Assessment

Costs including VAT and Registrations: £335.00 per person.You can complete this as a combined CS 30 & CS 31 course over 5 days plus 1-day assessment!!
