TKF is a fully accredited City & Guilds Land Based Services (NPTC) Assessment Centre and is also a registered Training Provider for Lantra-Awards (Sector Skills Council for Environmental and Land Based Sector) and is a member of the Lantra Training Providers Club. We are able to deliver the full range of Technical and competency based awards. Our network of highly qualified trainers and verifiers means that we provide training across the UK and in to Eastern Europe.
20 years of experience enables TKF Training to deliver professional training courses designed for companies and individuals who are seeking to maintain and develop their skills in forestry, tree surgery, utility arboriculture, agriculture, pesticides, off road driving and/or health and safety. Our development in New Business Skills will provide individuals with all that they need to start their enterprise within the industry.
Over the years TKF have worked with companies to design tailor-made awards to assess skills which are specific to their own organisations and where no suitable national award exists. For example in we developed the Re-pollarding (CS 46) awards for the Environment Agency.
You can take advantage of our excellent facilities at Holme Styes Wood or our classroom based facilities at Cross Gates. Both of these venues are situated in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. Holme Styes Wood is a tremendous 136 hectares with a training centre for individuals to learn and hone their skills.
Venue Hire
TKF's fully equipped corporate training facility provides an ideal, easily accessible space for small to medium sized events. Located on the outskirts of Holmfirth, Set in the stunning 'Last of the Summer Wine' countryside we can offer more than the average centre. Not only do we use these facilities for our own classes we also offer our facilities for hire. As we are easily accessible from Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds and Huddersfield, we are an ideal location to pull all the people together that you need in one place!

TKF has developed qualifications which can be funded by ELCAS and are ideally suited to service leavers seeking a career outdoors in the Land Skills Sector. These Institute of Learning and Management Endorsed Programmes of Study were designed to provide learners with the necessary practical skills, qualifications, plus relevant business skills to gain a career or start a new enterprise in the Arboriculture or Ground Care industries.
